Dual Empty Exemptions
Dear Valued Customer,
Please be aware of update to empty receiving schedule that indicates when appointments must be made.
Appointments Necessary:
Under the Gate Schedule drop down, any empty size/type showing “Appt Only” requires that all associated empties being returned, whether dual or single transaction, must have a valid empty appointment. When “Appt Only” is indicated, empties will not be exempt to receive with dual transactions. Drivers attempting to drop off empties without a valid empty appointment under these conditions will be turned around.
No Appointment Necessary:
If the empty size/type shows Dual or Exempt in the receiving chart under Gate Schedule drop down, then those empties are still eligible to be received without an empty appointment.
Must adhere to all the following before arriving to the terminal:
- Verify YTI/Steamship line is receiving the line/size/type of empty (posted at yti.com/services).
- Book a valid import appointment.
- Please arrive withinimport appointment window.
- Please provide the import appointmentnumber at the speaker.
To ensure success of this program, YTI will not allow single drop off appointments unless an appointment is open on the appointment platform.
A request for a single empty transaction can be sent to the below email address for possible consideration. These requests will be treated on a case by case basis and not guaranteed for approval. Please note that if the terminal is not receiving line/size/type of empty on YTI.com, we will not be able to accommodate exceptions.
- YTIemptyreturn@yti.com
- Note that any existing appointments Dual/Single will be honored Saturday December 5th.
Thank you,
YTI Team
****Dual MTY return exemption is good for both day and night shifts. Drivers will not be allowed to cancel their Import appointment to complete the MTY-in move.
